For a landscape metal print, begin with the highest-resolution original and set the crop for the selected output ratio. Glossy is more reflective and can emphasise colour and contrast; matte looks softer and reduces reflections. Standard Bolot photo prints are for indoor display without UV laminate, and listed wall formats include a tool-free magnetic wall-mount kit for a compatible indoor wall.
A landscape photo asks more of a print than a plain portrait. Fine branches, soft sky gradients, shadow detail, bright water and a set horizon all have to hold up when you enlarge and crop. Metal prints can suit this work well. But the result rests on the file, the finish and the display—not on the name of the medium alone.

Bolot transfers your image by dye-sublimation into a prepared aluminium surface. Unlike a paper print behind glass, the face you see is the print itself. That changes three choices:
Standard Legacy and Cinematic photo prints are intended for indoor display and have no protective UV laminate. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, outdoor exposure, persistent steam and splash zones.

Foreground, middle distance and background can build depth at wall scale. Check your sharpening and local contrast. They should not make the foreground look brittle while the far layer turns noisy.
Sunrise, fog and blue-hour skies show banding fast. Work from the original file. Avoid repeated JPEG saves, and check smooth tonal shifts at 100% before you upload.
Water gives both fine texture and broad tonal areas. Check highlight clipping and horizon level. Check that the crop keeps the symmetry you want. Glossy can lift reflected room light as much as the photo itself.
Leaves, branches and grass can look sharp on screen yet resolve poorly after a large crop. Do not judge by megapixels alone. Check focus, motion blur, noise reduction and the pixels left after the final crop.
Metal is not only for bold, saturated scenes. Quiet snow, mist or black-and-white landscapes can suit a matte finish. This works when the file keeps the subtle shifts and the room light does not flatten them.

Upload the highest-resolution original you have. Avoid screenshots, social-media downloads and chat-app copies when the camera or phone original exists. Shared copies are often resized or re-saved with quality loss.
Compare the photo's native aspect ratio with the size you pick. A 3:2 camera frame crops one way into 42 × 30 cm and another way into 30 × 20 cm. Guard the horizon, the main peak, the shoreline and any edge detail that matters.
Once you have set the crop, work out pixels = centimetres ÷ 2.54 × target PPI. Around 300 PPI is a tough close-up target. Around 180 PPI can be a handy lower mark for wall viewing. These figures do not promise sharpness, and they are not Bolot pass marks. The configurator warning for your chosen file and format comes first.
Keep a master with adjustment layers or non-destructive edits. Make a separate output copy when you sharpen for the final size. Avoid repeated resizing, heavy noise reduction and oversharpening halos.
The configurator helps you judge crop, orientation, size, finish and a room view. It cannot show the true shine of the surface, or every screen and room-light change. The final print may differ a little. The preview is not a colour-accurate physical proof.

Matte still reflects some light. Glossy is not always more colour-accurate. The finish is a choice of taste and room, not a rule. See the full matte versus glossy guide for care and lighting examples.

Current sizes appear in each product's options. For wall display, the Legacy Print formats are the usual place to start. Work through these questions instead of picking by room name alone:
For a series, keep the horizon logic, finish and spacing the same. For a triptych, decide one thing first: will you split one panorama across panels, or keep three related photos separate? Leave a visual gap when you split, so key subjects do not fall on the panel edges.
The Legacy Print Classic, The Legacy Print Statement and all Cinematic wall formats each include their own magnetic kit for a compatible dry indoor wall. Follow the supplied instructions and hang each print exactly 1 minute after kit installation. The Keepsake Trio contains three separate 13×9 cm desk prints and three separate metal stands and is not a wall format.
View the wall in morning, afternoon and lamp light before you pick the finish. Where you can, place the print so strong windows and spotlights are not mirrored in the main viewing angle. Do not promise that any finish will remove every reflection.
For routine care, lift off loose dust first, then use a clean soft microfibre cloth. Avoid rough pads, sharp objects, solvents and harsh household cleaners. Standard photo prints should remain indoors and away from prolonged direct sunlight.
If you will sell the landscape rather than hang it at home, record:
If the result is critical, order and check one finished unit before you list an edition for sale. Bolot does not offer a formal sample pack. So that unit is a separate finished product, not a certified proof. Do not advertise an archival rating, an unsupported durability claim or a guaranteed batch match without evidence and a clear agreement that covers those claims.
If Bolot proposes a meaningful crop or correction before production, it waits up to five business days for a response. Approval means the approved version is used. Without a reply, production follows the original crop submitted with the order—not the unapproved proposal.
A strong landscape metal print starts with the original file, a careful output crop and a finish chosen for real room light. Prepared aluminium can give a landscape a striking frameless look. It still does not remove the need for honest resolution checks, correct mounting, indoor display and careful handling.

Create Your Print NowNeither is universally better. Prepared aluminium gives a smooth frameless surface and can retain fine detail; canvas adds visible texture that can soften small detail. Base the choice on the photograph, intended room, desired object depth and the exact supplier specification rather than a generic durability claim.
Suitability depends on the selected dimensions, aspect ratio, crop, focus, detail and viewing distance. Upload the highest-resolution original, review the crop and follow any configurator warning. PPI calculations can help with planning, but they are not a universal acceptance threshold or result guarantee.
Glossy reflects more light and can emphasise colour and contrast. Matte gives a softer appearance and reduces reflections, although some remain. Inspect the intended room at different times of day and choose for both the photograph and the light reaching the wall.
Use the highest-resolution original, keep a reversible master, set the crop for the exact output ratio and avoid repeated resizing or compression. JPG/JPEG, PNG, HEIC and WebP are supported. The on-screen preview helps with composition but is not a colour-accurate physical proof.
Yes, provided you own or otherwise have the rights needed to reproduce and sell the image. Define the edition, size, crop, finish, signature or certificate method and production master before the first sale. Do not advertise an archival rating or durability claim without evidence for the complete finished system.
The Legacy Print Classic 30×20 cm and The Legacy Print Statement 42×30 cm are wall formats. The Cinematic (21×14 cm), The Cinematic Print Classic (30×20 cm) and The Cinematic Print Statement (42×30 cm) are also wall-only. Each includes its supplied indoor magnetic wall-mount kit. The Keepsake Trio is different: it contains three 13×9 cm desk prints and three separate metal stands, and it is never a wall format.
Verified quality support lets you report a manufacturing defect, transit damage, or wrong size, finish, or personalisation promptly after discovering the issue.
